Russian opposition politician Mark Feygin stated that the Kremlin is attempting to carry out deep interference in Ukraine's political system through elections

He said this on air on Espreso TV.

"Putin is not going to stop; the Kremlin does not hide its interest in the entire territory of Ukraine. They are resisting Ukraine's economic independence and its ties with the West to prevent these connections from closing off the possibility of reintegration toward Moscow. Russia aims to drag Ukraine back into all its stinking CSTO and other Moscow trinkets. Right now, all ties between Moscow and Ukraine are severed, and they cannot be restored overnight. For this, the Kremlin needs to deeply interfere in Ukraine's political system—through elections. They want to interfere in the elections, claiming that Zelenskyy is bad while Zaluzhnyi is good. This does not mean they like Zaluzhnyi—no, Putin needs chaos, during which there will be no legitimate authority as such," Mark Feygin commented.

According to him, Putin claims that Zelenskyy can remain in power only by rigging the elections. And this is coming from someone who has never participated in any real elections, since there have never been elections in Russia.

"Is this not interference in Ukraine's sovereignty—demanding the establishment of a certain government in Ukraine with restrictions and powers defined by Moscow? Of course, that is exactly why this is being done. Whether it works or not, they always evaluate it after the fact. But right now, it is much more important for them to create this chaos and to demand immediate elections. But how can elections be held during a war? Lavrov said that Russia is not going to stop, there are no limitations, and the contact line is not even a subject of discussion for them to stop at. And they are not going to stop. So, how can elections be held while military actions are ongoing?" the opposition politician remarked.
