Ukraine's Defense Minister meets UK Secretary of State for Defense Healey to discuss boosting military aid
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with British Secretary of State for Defense John Healey. The parties discussed, among other topics, increasing military assistance to Ukraine

Rustem Umerov shared the news on his Facebook page, saying, “During the visit to London as part of the Ukrainian President’s delegation, I had an honor to meet with my friend and colleague, UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey.”
According to him, “The United Kingdom is ready to increase military assistance to Ukraine and actively engage European partners in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
“We reviewed the prospects of purchasing weapons using profits from confiscated Russian assets and discussed the UK’s role in the Ramstein format, as well as its readiness to coordinate arms supplies for Ukraine,” added Rustem Umerov.
- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, convened leaders from more than a dozen European countries for a summit in the UK on March 2 to discuss Russia's war against Ukraine and broader European security. On March 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived to participate in the summit.
