Kuleba shares details of visit made by four EU countries' leaders to Ukraine
Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba has identified five results of President Volodymyr Zelensky's meeting with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, and Romania
Kuleba wrote about this on his Facebook page.
He said that the most important result of the meeting with Macron, Scholz, Draghi and Johannis is a five-point agreement, which he outlined, as below.
"1. Sanctions. The guests received full packages of Andriy Ermak’s - Michael McFaul's work on further sanctions. The guests acknowledged that some leaders in Europe are feeling ‘tired of sanctions’, they are personally ready to move on. The sanctions will continue.
2. Weapons. There were some new useful announcements. The President thanked and explained in figures and numbers why more and more equipment is needed. The guests heard him out.
3. Application. Compared to the beginning of the week, today we are closer to obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership. Thanks to the guests. But not all obstacles have been overcome, not all traps have been overcome. The decision is made by consensus, so we all continue to work calmly, focused on the result.
4. Grain. Everyone agrees that Russia cannot be trusted, it is necessary to work through the UN and have clear guarantees. In parallel, we will significantly develop land corridors. The topic of grain is directly related to the perception of our war in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Actions on this topic were also coordinated.
5. Negotiations. The guests did not coerce, persuade, pressure or tie in. ‘Ukraine must win this war,’ were Macron’s indicative words. My advice is to let go of this fear. It seems that recently the president and his entire diplomatic team have given enough reason to believe that we are not the ones who can be forced, persuaded, pinched or divorced," Dmytro Kuleba wrote.
