Japan’s Infiniti car-maker leaves Russian market
The Japanese Infiniti company is leaving the Russian market just as the parent automaker Nissan did, and transferring warranty obligations to dealers
The automobile company announced this on the official page of the Russian social network VKontakte.
“Acceptance of the situation is one of the main pillars of Japanese wisdom, as you know. Today we want to say Sayonara to you, which means "goodbye" in Japanese,” the company said in a statement published on one of the Russian social networks.
The company noted that the official warranty service of cars within the framework of current warranty obligations will be preserved.
It is known that Infiniti has decided to suspend the supply of new cars to Russia on March 9, 2022.

On August 23, Bloomberg reported that the Toyota plant is stopping production in the Russian Federation, due to the fact that since the beginning of March, the carmaker’s plant in Shushary has been idle because of logistical difficulties. The decision to close the plant is related to the impossibility of restoring regular supplies. The import of Toyota cars to Russia is still suspended.
