Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones can be assembled in Tajikistan
Leader of Tajik opposition in exile Muhyiddin Kabiri said there is a factory in Tajikistan for the assembly of Iranian kamikaze drones, where they can be manufactured for Russian Federation
He told this in the interview with Glavkom.
According to Kabiri, plant opened about a year ago and is likely still operating. Kabiri said that information about existence of the plant is official and open.
"A year ago, or even less, a high-ranking military official of Iran, named Bakeri, visited Tajikistan. Together with Minister of Defense, Sherali Mirzo, they cut the ribbon, thereby marking opening of a factory that specializes in the assembly of drones. This is already a fact that exists in open sources. But I don't know anything about whether this plant is working now. However, if the plant has already been built, the ribbon has been cut, then it must be working. Otherwise, one of the parties should officially announce that the plant was not launched. So that no one has doubts", he said.
Oppositionist noted that President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, is afraid of sanctions for supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine, so he can hide his pro-Putin position. According to him, the reason for this is Tajikistan's financial dependence on international grants.
"He is afraid of any sanctions, because country's political system is built and lives at the expense of international grants and the money of our migrants. Our country ranks first in the world among states dependent on migrant money in the budgetary sense", Kabiri says.
He also believes that President of the country continues to cooperate with Russian dictator. Kabiri noted that even when mobilization began in Russia, Tajik authorities did not directly forbid citizens from participating in hostilities on the side of Russian Federation, unlike other countries in the region.
