Investigative Committee officer killed in December 30 attack on Russian Belgorod — Ukrainian intelligence

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported the information.
"The attack on Belgorod resulted in a reduction in the number of officers within the Russian Ruscist forces," the statement said.
It noted that as a result of a strike on December 30, 2023, on Russian military facilities, 27-year-old Russian First Lieutenant Mikhail Konopitsyn was killed.
In November 2023, he was dispatched to Belgorod to serve within the military investigative department of Russia’s Investigative Committee.
According to the intelligence, he had previously fought against Ukraine as a platoon commander of anti-tank missiles.

On the afternoon of December 30, explosions occurred in the center of Russian Belgorod. Local authorities claimed that the city was shelled by drones, allegedly killing 24 people and injuring 108. Ukraine's intelligence services told the media that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had struck military facilities in the city.
