Grossi will take a neutral position regarding ZNPP - nuclear energy expert Kosharna
Olga Kosharna, nuclear energy expert, believes that IAEA will take a neutral position regarding the situation around Zaporizhzhia NPP.
She shared her opinion with Espreso.TV live on air.
"Grossi, IAEA Director General, met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy before meeting with Putin. Grossi is the head of a large international organization. Therefore, according to the protocol, his meeting with Putin is completely normal. Of course, there is a closed part of their conversation. However, I am convinced that Grossi will not support any of the sides, but will take a neutral position," Kosharna explained.
The expert is convinced that it will not be possible to de-occupy ZNPP by diplomatic means.
"Next, I think that Grossi will go to Guterres and further actions to create a safe zone around ZNPP should be approved at the UN Security Council’s level. Grossi tried to work with the Security Council during the meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York. However, in my opinion, the result regarding the ZNPP will be only when Ukrainian Armed Forces will take care of the de-occupation," she added.
