Dozens of airfields in Ukraine can be used for F-16 flights
Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, spokesman for the Ukraine’s Air Force, said that Ukraine's infrastructure is ready for F-16 fighters
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"There are no issues with the infrastructure at all. American aircraft have already landed here, both F-15 and F-16. These aircraft were at Ukrainian airfields in 2012 and in 2018. We have dozens of different airfields - operational and regular - that can be used for flights of this aircraft," Ihnat explained.
Yuriy Ihnat added that there are sections of highways in Ukraine where airplanes can land.
"There are also sections of highways that are specially designated in different regions where planes with limited traffic can land. This is a normal practice in all countries of the world. And in a warring country, the infrastructure has to be built. I'll tell you a little secret - this has been going on for a long time," Ihnat emphasized.
