Ukraine receives German Luna NG UAV: Defense Express tells more about it

"We have finally received a western-made drone. The Luna NG is an interesting model that will complement the wide range of UAVs already in use in Ukraine. The German drone has its advantages. It was developed and introduced recently. Luna NG has interesting tactical and technical characteristics. It is designed to operate in the modern aggressive environment of the battlefield and can effectively operate in areas where the enemy is actively using countermeasures in the form of various electronic warfare systems," explained Ryabykh.

According to the military expert, the Luna NG drone can stay in the air for 12 hours.

"During this time, the drone can transmit a lot of information via secure channels, which it receives using modern electronic and optical sensors. The UAV weighs about 40 kg and has a control range of over 100 km. The Luna NG drone has complemented the range of UAVs we received from Germany earlier," Riabykh added.

• On August 14, media reported that the German concern Rheinmetall would provide Ukraine with the Luna unmanned aerial system. The system includes drones with a reconnaissance capability of several hundred kilometers.
• On December 7, the German government announced that it would provide Ukraine with another batch of military aid, including drones and ammunition.
