Serhii Cherevaty, spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces, says that the Russian army is trying to attack Ukrainian positions in the Bakhmut direction, but Ukraine's Armed Forces are holding the lines
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The Avdiivka and Bakhmut directions are the most active. In recent weeks, the Russian forces have tried to achieve at least some intermediate result in the Bakhmut direction, which could be presented to the Russian population as an achievement," Cherevaty noted.
According to him, after the seizure of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk, the invading Russian forces did not have any breakthrough operations, and this was against the background of army propaganda that had been going on for years.
