Canada freezes over $350 million in Russian assets since start of Ukraine invasion
Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Canada has frozen over $457 million CAD in Russian assets (equivalent to over $350 million USD)

This was reported by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, responsible for monitoring sanctions compliance, Ukrinform writes.
Since February 24, 2022, a total of $140.1 million in assets have been frozen in Canada, and $317.4 million in financial transactions have been blocked under the prohibitions outlined in the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations, the police stated.
They also noted that $387,200 in financial transactions and $148,500 in assets linked to sanctioned Belarusian individuals have been frozen.
- Earlier, the Canadian Foreign Minister emphasized that during Canada's G7 presidency, Ukraine would remain a priority for the group.
