Lithuania offers to disassemble its closed TPPs for spare parts for Ukraine
Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that Lithuania has offered to dismantle its closed thermal power plants and provide spare parts to restore the Ukrainian energy system
He shared the information on the United News telethon.
"I had a conversation with the Minister of Energy of Lithuania. They offered to use their thermal power plants that are closed. They offered to use them as donors, which means that we can disassemble them and get the spare parts we need," Halushchenko said.
The Minister also noted that many other countries provide technical assistance to Ukraine.
At the same time, he emphasized that the best defense is to strengthen Ukraine's air defense system.
Russia attacks Ukraine's energy sector
According to the Ministry of the Environment, Russia's attack on Dnipro HPP caused UAH 140 million in damages to Ukraine's environment.
