German Foreign Minister Baerbock called for the protection of the European peace order and greater support for Ukraine.
"We will defend our Europe - every square centimeter of our Europe - and our freedom," she said at a conference on national security strategy in Berlin.
She also said that she is annoyed by discussions "where support for Ukraine is seen as a charitable gesture rather than what it really is: an investment in our own national security.”
"There really can't be a greater national interest," she emphasized.
- On May 31, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced the transfer of another Patriot anti-aircraft missile system and an additional €500 million to Ukraine.
