Boeing, Antonov aircraft manufacturers to cooperate in defense projects
On July 22, Boeing Corporation and Ukraine's Antonov Company signed a memorandum of understanding that will facilitate cooperation in the field of UAV maintenance
This is stated on the Boeing website.
The agreement identifies the following areas of potential cooperation: training, logistics support, and overhaul services for tactical unmanned aerial systems used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including ScanEagle. In addition, the companies will also explore opportunities for Antonov to provide engineering support to Boeing.
“This agreement brings a whole new level of opportunity to implement the latest and most effective solutions – in addition to the possibility of future projects with Boeing in the aerospace and defense industry,” said Ievhen Gavrylov, CEO of Antonov Company.
He also stressed that a strong, innovative, and efficient defense industry is the key to sustainable economic development and national security.
