Abbot of UOC of Moscow Patriarchate in Kharkiv region used church to spread Russian propaganda
The Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion to the abbot of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, who cooperated with a gauleiter in the Kharkiv region and spread Russian occupation propaganda
The Security Service of Ukraine informs about this.
"The security service exposed another Kremlin henchman during stabilization measures in the liberated areas in the East of our country. He turned out to be the abbot of one of the temples of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate in the Kharkiv region," the press service writes.
It is reported that during the temporary occupation of the Kupyan district, the abbot urged religious residents to support the Russians, and in his "sermons', he justified Russia's crimes against Ukraine.
The attacker also spread the occupation regime, for this he contacted the local gauleiter Vitaly Ganchev. Together, they agreed on the use of the church as a guide to the ranks of the enemy and discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"To carry out subversive activities, he involved a parishioner from one of the local villages, who helped him spread pro-Kremlin propaganda on the territory of the community," the Ukrainian Security Service explained.
During the de-occupation of the territory, the perpetrators fled to Russia, where they are hiding. They were notified of the suspicion of justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and declared wanted.
