5 "justifications" Russia uses for its invasion of Ukraine
Russia's narratives are designed for a Russian and pro-Russian audience; Kremlin agents spread them all over the world to create the illusion of truth.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Russian narratives on their official Facebook page.
As part of a broad information campaign to justify Russia's illegal armed aggression against Ukraine, Moscow's propaganda machine promotes 5 main narratives.
The first narrative is that Russia has prevented a "great world war" with a "special operation" in Ukraine.
The second is that Russia's "special military operation" in Ukraine is a response to the constant expansion of NATO and the growing threat to the Russian Federation.
The third narrative is that the US and the West are waging a hybrid war against Russia using Ukraine.
Another pseudo-justification says that Russia is the victim of the war, and NATO is the aggressor.
The latest Russian justification of the war against Ukraine is supposedly conditioned by the fact that Ukraine is Russian territory. It was allegedly established by Lenin in 1922, when the Bolsheviks created the USSR.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces remind that in order to avoid responsibility for waging a full-scale war to destroy the Ukrainian people, Moscow is constantly trying to impose its own vision of the situation, justify its actions, and facilitate a "new enemy for world peace and security" image for Ukraine.
Russia's narratives are designed for a Russian and pro-Russian audience, by repeating them Moscoe wants to create the illusion of truth and instructs its agents in various countries to spread them.
