Zelenskyy speaks with Truss, invites her to Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy became the first foreign leader to have a telephone conversation with Liz Truss as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote this on Twitter.
As the president reported, he invited Truss to Ukraine and in conversation with her "thanked the British people for the great defense and economic assistance for Ukraine."
"It is important that Great Britain is ready to further strengthen it," he said.
The parties also discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, Britain's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war, and further pressure on Russia.
"The goal is to stop aggression and bring the perpetrators to justice. It is important to recognize the Russian Federation as a terrorist state. We will continue active cooperation in all formats," Zelenskyy added.
