Zelenskyy: Fact that Russia appeals for help to Iran is Kremlin's recognition of its military and political bankruptcy
For decades, Russians spent billions of dollars on their military-industrial complex, and as a result went to Tehran for drones and missiles
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address.
He noted that the battle for a normal life for Ukrainians continued today.
"Part of the Russian drones and missiles were shot down," Zelenskyy said.
The President thanked our anti-aircraft fighters and the Air Force for this.
"In particular, I thank the 138th Dnipro anti-aircraft missile brigade for shooting down four "calibres" and the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade for shooting down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft. I also thank all partners who help us with air and anti-missile defense," Zelenskyy noted.
In addition, the president emphasized that "the very fact of Russia's request for help to Iran is the Kremlin's recognition of its military and political bankruptcy."
"For decades, they spent billions of dollars on their military-industrial complex, and in the end, they bowed down to Tehran to get rather simple drones and missiles. Strategically, this will still not help them. But now, at the tactical level, the terrorists may still have some hopes, some there are calculations. All this will fall apart, just like their previous calculations," Zelenskyy assured.
