Time to make decisions. Ukraine has already paid incredible price for them – Arseniy Yatsenyuk on NATO summit
“No more vague memoranda or declarations. There must be certainty and clarity," stressed Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2014-2016
Speaking at the 15th Kyiv Security Forum he noted that he is an opponent of the so-called "strategic uncertainty": "For me, it sounds like an unwillingness to make very difficult but correct decisions," the Kyiv Security Forum’s website writes.
"I support strategic certainty. Because it is absolutely clear that Ukraine must win this war. It is absolutely clear that Putin is a war criminal and must be brought to justice. It is absolutely clear that there is no other way to guarantee security for the Ukrainian people and for the entire European continent, except for Ukraine's membership in NATO," he stressed.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed the importance of unity of all NATO member states at the summit in Vilnius. "There should be no more vague and strange memoranda or declarations, as happened in Bucharest in 2008. There must be certainty and clarity."
"It's time to make clear decisions. And Ukraine has already paid an incredible price for them," said the politician.
As a reminder, the 15th annual Kyiv Security Forum "For Our Freedom and Yours / Fighting for NATO" is taking place on 25-26 May with the participation of prominent international figures.
The Forum will, among other things, form the Security Council and adopt a resolution with recommendations for the NATO Summit in Vilnius, which will be held in July.
