Russians intensify terror among civilian population, both against adults and children - the mayor of Melitopol
Ivan Fedorov, mayor of Melitopol, said that a few days ago Russians announced they would take children to the occupied Crimea and Krasnodar Territory for a pseudo-holiday so that our children would remain with them as hostages. For example, more than 300 children have already been taken out of Energodar
He told it Espreso.TV live on air.
"The situation is extremely difficult and, unfortunately, not festive in the temporarily occupied territories. Russian terror is intensifying among the civilian population, both against adults and children. A few days ago, Russians announced that they would take our children to the occupied Crimea for a pseudo-holiday, Krasnodar Krai and to other regions of Russia. And we understand that they are not doing this with good intentions, but to keep our children as hostages with them. They have begun to take away children from the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia region, for example, more than 300 children have already been taken out of Energodar to Crimea," the Mayor of Melitopol said.
Ivan Fedorov noted an interesting fact that in Crimea the closure of offline education and its transfer to online has been announced, so it is not clear where Russians take Ukrainian children.
"The terror is also intensified by the fact that Russians are shelling Melitopol every day, and they are holding some kind of training on the outskirts of the city. Russians are doing this on purpose so that there is panic among the civilian population and people agree to do anything, as long as they don't shoot. Russian invading forces also staged two terrorist attacks during the last three weeks in the markets of Melitopol. Terror is also manifested in “passportisation” because under the threat of dismissal from work, Russians force people to change their passports. In addition, a few days ago, they began to force the employees of communal enterprises to donate blood, because we understand that such an amount of blood is not needed for civilians who remained under occupation, and this is exactly what Russians do for their military, "Fedorov noted.
