Russians build illegal construction on Zaporizhzhya NPP’s territory
Ukrainian Nuclear Regulatory demands to limit the operation of the nuclear fuel storage at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant due to illegal construction started by Russian occupiers.

The message reads that the Inspectorate found "violations of the requirements of the Ukrainian legislation, norms, rules and standards of nuclear and radiation safety at the site of the storage of dry spent nuclear fuel, which is one of the seven nuclear installations at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, due to the construction of an unknown structure by the Russian occupiers near the storage.
The inspection prohibited the performance of construction, installation and commissioning work in the scope of reconstruction and modernization of the storage. In addition, the Inspectorate instructed National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom to take measures to preserve the conditions necessary to ensure labor safety, protect the health of personnel and the environment.
