Russian soldiers kidnap men in temporarily occupied territories for ransom - Ukrainian Security Service
Ukrainian Security Service officers have received information that Russian soldiers are kidnapping men from the temporarily occupied territories en masse to demand ransom from their relatives
The Ukrainian Security Service shared the news.
The sum for 'return to normal life' depends on the family's wealth and ranges from USD 10,000-30,000.
The service received the data from new interceptions of conversations, as well as operational information from the temporarily occupied territories.
Examples of several appeals of citizens to the so-called 'temporary Russian military administration' in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhya region:
"Your guys just arrived from the commandant's office, locked my husband in the trunk and drove away. They didn't show any documents, nothing…"
"Twisted, loaded into the trunk. The car was taken away, the motoblock… they said they were from the police"
"My husband was taken away and told that he was taken to Melitopol to join the 58th Army or the 58th Army took him away. What should I do? .."
Russian soldiers answer all these questions almost in the same way: such issues are not solved by phone conversation, you need to come in person. And after arrival, they announce the 'price' to relatives and the auction begins.
