Russian forces shell Zaporizhzhia region 400 times in a week
Invading Russian forces shelled the Zaporizhzhia region more than 400 times in the past week, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Starukh.
According to him, over the past day, 88 shellings were recorded in 17 communities, and there were no casualties. At the same time, over the last week, three people were killed and six more were injured as a result of enemy attacks in the region.
“For one week, there were more than 400 shellings, and more than half of them targeted civilian infrastructure,” Starukh said.
He added that in view of the situation, the organized evacuation of 700-800 people from unoccupied territories to Western Ukraine, Central Ukraine, and in general to safer regions is carried out every day. However, the evacuation of people from the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation remains complicated. Yesterday, according to him, 29 people, including two children, managed to leave the part of the region controlled by the Russian forces. During the week, 438 people managed to leave, including 67 children.
