"The border is under constant video surveillance by Ukrainian border guard units using UAVs. Accordingly, if the situation changes, we will clearly understand where the enemy's forces and equipment are amassed," Vasylchuk said.
According to him, the entire northern direction of Kyiv is under vigilant protection of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The direction through the Chernobyl nuclear power plant has been heavily reinforced. Also, having prepared fortifications, the Armed Forces have three different lines of defense to keep the capital safe," he added.
- On March 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia could launch a new offensive in Ukraine in late May or June this year.
- On March 30, retired National Guard Major Oleksiy Hetman, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, suggested that the Russian offensive could begin in April, with Russia needing a week at most to move its troops.
