This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, Operational Command South's press center head.
"Unfortunately, the activity of enemy tactical aviation is still visible. They do not draw any conclusions from the fact that they can lose their aircraft in the southern direction," the spokeswoman said.
According to Humeniuk, the Russian forces are trying to find new launching points, to prove that they still have potential in the air.
- On January 15, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi and the Air Force confirmed the destruction of Russian A-50 and Il-22 aircraft.
- The Southern Operational Command stated that the destroyed Russian A-50 was used by Russia to launch powerful missile strikes against Ukraine, so its elimination could delay future missile attacks.
