French president becomes Ukraine’s top diplomatic advocate globally – international affairs expert
International affairs expert Maksym Nesvitailov believes that Emmanuel Macron has become the leading European voice urging support for Ukraine, both in Europe and globally
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“Emmanuel Macron is giving no reason for disappointment today. He has effectively become Ukraine's top diplomat globally. He is extremely active and successful in his efforts worldwide, primarily in Europe. Macron is gradually emerging as Europe's leading representative. In my opinion, the fact that Trump chose France as his first destination is the best evidence of this,” Nesvitailov explained.
The expert is confident that Macron's initiative to deploy European peacekeeping forces in Ukraine will yield results.
“Macron is actively promoting the idea of deploying French and other European troops in Ukraine along the demarcation line as one of the options for security guarantees for Kyiv. This is a significant advantage because if Ukraine were pushing this initiative, it would be an entirely different story. Macron is advancing this idea from within, and I believe that with his determination and enthusiasm, some results will be achieved,” he added.
