Ukraine launches mass production of robotic systems designed for use on battlefield
The Brave1 cluster has tested at the training ground over 50 systems that destroy military positions and equipment, mine, demine, evacuate the wounded, and deliver ammunition to the troops.
Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said this on Telegram.
He noted that the tests included kamikaze platforms, turrets, platforms that destroy Russian positions and equipment, mine, demine, evacuate the wounded, and deliver ammunition to the positions.
"The robots have successfully proved themselves at the training ground, and in a few months they will be on the battlefield - hundreds of different platforms will be purchased through UNITED24. We continue to develop innovations so that the Defense Forces can purchase them," the minister wrote.
The main purpose of ground robots is to minimize the participation of people on the battlefield to save the lives and health of Ukrainians.
"Ground robotic systems will become the next game changer in this war, just like drones are already. This is an asymmetric response to the enemy's numerical superiority... Our task is to produce and improve innovations for the Defense Forces, and to create comfortable conditions for manufacturers," Fedorov said.
He also noted that more than 140 robotic systems are registered on the Brave1 platform, 96 of them have passed defense expertise, and 14 developments have been codified according to NATO standards. Some of these robots are already operating at the front, such as the ShaBlya turret.
- On January 9, it was reported that Ukraine had contracted ShaBlya robotic turrets for the first time as part of the Brave1 cluster for the development of military technologies in Ukraine.
- On February 19, Mykhailo Fedorov said that Ukraine had developed a remote-controlled transporter to evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
