Russian invaders are approaching the Dnipro region from all sides. However, the issue of fortifications is very acute

This was reported by Kateryna Nemchenko, a deputy of the Dnipro Regional Council, on the Espreso TV channel.

‘Currently, the Dnipro region is in a very critical state, the occupying Russian force are approaching, and it is really very dangerous. Of course, we hope for the best, we have patriotism and inspiration to fight, to help the Armed Forces and to believe that a critical offensive on the region will not happen.

But Nikopol region is already under fire from occupied Enerhodar almost every day. Fortunately, there was no shelling today, which is a rare occurrence. The Zaporizhzhia direction is also very dangerous. The Dnipro River is very close to Zaporizhzhia. One of the settlements bordering the Donetsk region is officially recognized by the Ministry of Reintegration as a territory that may be in the area of active hostilities or at risk of occupation. Therefore, the local authorities have developed algorithms for evacuating and ensuring the safety of the population in the event of a critical situation,’ she said.

The issue of building fortifications is very relevant today, but at the same time ambiguous, says the regional council member: ‘There is very little information about their construction and condition. It is impossible to see them or check that they are being built and that everything is going well.

The chairman of the regional council noted that information about the fortifications is classified, but assured that the military and the authorities are doing everything properly. He said that everything was prepared, but that it was not necessary for everyone to know about it. We really want to believe this, and we hope that this will not turn out to be a public fake or a reassurance to the population later.’

  • Recently, a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, Serhiy Lyshenko, said that the Russian army has a task to reach the border of the Dnipro region.
