Russia launches fake that Ukraine's counteroffensive is just PSYOP
Russian propagandists promote fake stories that Ukrainian counteroffensive was only PSYOP
The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security reported the information.
"The counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was not a real military action, but a psychological operation aimed at disinformation of the Russian Federation," Russian Telegram channels write, citing a story allegedly filmed by 1+1 TV channel.
In fact, the Ukrainian media did not broadcast such a story. Russian propagandists edited it from various materials. For example, the footage of the Ukrainian military and equipment was taken from a Falcon Studio video released in December 2015. And the image of a man in a hood was taken from a Russian singer's music video.
"With such fakes, Russia is trying to devalue the achievements of the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the counteroffensive, but in fact the Kremlin is afraid of its continuation," SPRAVDI emphasizes.
