Two Ukrainian citizens are killed in Germany near shopping center; Russian suspected

The 36-year-old victim succumbed to severe injuries at the scene, while the 23-year-old passed away in hospital. Both individuals resided in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.

Law enforcement officers detained the 57-year-old Russian suspect at his residence near the shopping center on the same evening.

A criminal investigation into the double murder has been initiated, with the Russian individual scheduled for custody on April 28, as requested by the prosecutor's office.

Currently, authorities are probing the sequence of events, as well as the motives behind the suspect's actions.
