Russia causes over USD 27 billion in damages to Ukrainian agriculture, USD 3 billion to farmers
As of September 1, Ukrainian agriculture suffered USD 4.3 billion in direct and USD 23.3 billion in indirect losses as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine
This was reported by Ukraine's Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.
Direct losses include:

land and unharvested crops - USD 2.135 billion;

equipment - USD 926 million;

lost manufactured products - USD 613 million;

granaries - USD 272 million;

animal husbandry - USD 136 million;

factors of production - USD 120 million;

perennial plantations - USD 89 million.
Indirect damages include:

losses of producers from the decrease in prices for export-oriented crops - USD 11.9 billion;

underachieved harvest - USD 9.6 billion;

losses due to increased production costs - USD 859 million;

animal husbandry - USD 682 million;

loss of harvest of perennial plantations - USD 222.4 million.
In addition, as a result of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian farmers lost products, equipment, and unharvested winter crops worth more than USD 3 billion.
Ukraine's Center for Strategic Communications noted that as a result of the actions of the Russian Federation, a number of countries in Africa and Asia, which were the main importers of Ukrainian agricultural products, were at risk of a food crisis.
