Rubble of house destroyed by a Russian attack in Chasovy Yar is cleared: 48 people died in the attack, 9 more rescued
On July 14, the rubble of the house in Chasovy Yar, Donetsk region, destroyed in a Russian attack, was finally fully ckeared. 48 bodies were found, including one child, and 9 people were rescued
Donetsk regional military administration head, Pavlo Kyrylenko, shared the update in his Telegram channel.
"Rescuers have completed the demolition of the rubble of a high-rise building in Chasovoy Yar. 48 people were killed in the building from a rocket strike, including a 9-year-old boy. Another 9 people were rescued," he wrote.
The search for people lasted for five days, 323 people participated in it.
Earlier, on July 13, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Facebook that the bodies of 48 killed people had been found.
"As of 19:00, during emergency rescue operations in a five-story residential building in Chasovy Yar, the body of one dead person was found. A total of 48 killed bodies were found, including one child. 9 people were rescued from the rubble. The work is ongoing," the message says.
The deputy head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, informed: "Since the beginning of work, the bodies of 47 killed people, including 1 child, have been found and removed from the scene, and 9 people have been rescued from the rubble. The work continues."
