Putin's doubles: who was first to talk about them
Interestingly, as soon as the "Putin doubles" became a massive trend, a hidden competition "who noticed it first" immediately began
You may laugh, but the "good Russians" Solovyov and Piontkovsky are the most fiercely contesting for first place (although, of course, they do not directly state this and will never admit it). Google is being honest: Piontkovsky started talking about this topic last fall, and he and Solovyov became more active in January and February.
However, the topic of lookalikes appeared around 2015, when the Russian journalist Kashin noted the simultaneous appearance of different Putins in Altai and in the Kremlin (although the first time they started talking about lookalikes was in 2003 because of the obvious sickness of the then-Putin in the photo).
However, since we are competing, I should contribute a bit of my own.)) I'm not sure when I included the "Putin doubles" theme in my regular set of jokes, but the earliest publication with my photo joke on this topic that I found (but it's definitely not the first, I remember that) was in November 2017.
And already in 2018, I was included in the Kremlin's sanctions list - the only one who was not an official, politician, businessman, or even a journalist. In fact, there were no reasons to label me an "enemy of Russia" - who am I for such a scale?

However, one of my friends from the special services told me their version: it was because of my photo jokes and posts on the topic of "Putin and the doubles." They were funny, purely entertaining, but, as it turned out, quite hurtful (because I regularly trampled on the dwarf king's height). This, it turns out, seriously pissed off someone in the Kremlin - seriously enough to impose personal sanctions on me.
That's it, no "good Russian" can beat this trump card! I was the first one here to talk about doubles!
