Ukraine and Poland will cooperate to engage business in the county’s reconstruction. Ukrainian vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov and Polish Minister Waldemar Buda sign a memorandum
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported the information.
As part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Poland, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Polish Minister of Economic Development and Technology Waldemar Buda.
"We strive to make the reconstruction not only a major international humanitarian project, but also an economically viable investment for business. Together with our Polish colleagues, we are already discussing financing for the restoration of several residential and social infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv region," Kubrakov said.
The memorandum stipulates that Poland will provide information about businesses interested in rebuilding Ukraine. The parties agreed that after the launch of the Electronic Reconstruction Management System, the Ministry of Reconstruction will regularly provide partners with information on existing projects and investment opportunities.
The ministries of Ukraine and Poland will also exchange experience, practices of implementing reconstruction projects, knowledge in the field of construction law and the use of international donor platforms to increase investment in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
"The participation of Polish business, with its experience, resources and expertise, with the support of the government, is essential for us. I am grateful to our Polish partners, in particular Waldemar Buda, for their willingness to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine. We guarantee the effectiveness of such investments through maximum transparency, accountability, and the introduction of digital tools in the reconstruction," Kubrakov added.
