Ebrahim Raisi's death will not affect Russia's cooperation with Iran — political strategist Zagorodniy
Political strategist Taras Zagorodniy believes that cooperation between Russia and Iran will remain at the same level despite the death of Ebrahim Raisi
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel
"I don't think anything will change in Iran after the death of Ebrahim Raisi. Because Iran is a theocracy, and the ayatollahs have more power than the secular government and the prime minister. Therefore, Russia's cooperation with Iran will be maintained at the same level. Iran is eager to get nuclear technology from Russia. They are very close to creating nuclear weapons, but much more needs to be done in this direction," Zagorodniy explained.
The political analyst believes that Iran and Russia will continue to cooperate in destabilizing the situation in the Middle East
"Iran's cooperation with Russia will be maintained at the same level. In particular, in the issue of armaments and coordination of their actions to create a point of tension in the Middle East. We should not forget about China. So, I think a lot more will happen between these countries," he added.
- On Sunday, May 19, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed. Officials confirmed the deaths of all passengers.
