Spain confirms it will provide Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that a batch of Leopard tanks and ammunition would be delivered to Ukraine

This was reported by El Mundo.

Robles confirmed the delivery during a videoconference of the 22nd meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, convened by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. The meeting was also attended by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

According to the Spanish defense minister, the delivery is scheduled for the end of June.

At the same time, Robles emphasized her country's efforts to help Ukraine, in particular, the training of Ukrainian soldiers.

On March 21, it was reported that Spain is preparing a new supply of Leopard 2A4 battle tanks for delivery to Ukraine — they are to arrive in two batches: in June and September.
