Deputy Head of the Izium City Military Administration Volodymyr Matsokin reports.
On the night of May 20, the Russian army attacked Izium. The shelling destroyed the building of the Zaliznychnyk cultural center.
"Dozens of clubs, a unique stage, a library, tens of thousands of children associated their childhood with this institution. No military personnel, the building was damaged during the occupation," Matsokin wrote.
He noted that before the full-scale invasion, Izium celebrated the centenary of the Zaliznychnyk cultural center and had a reconstruction plan in place.
The construction of the cultural center began in 1923. It was opened in 1926.
