20 Ukrainians injured in bus accident in Poland

The accident happened near the Polish-Ukrainian border in Gołębie, Lublin Voivodeship.
The incident occurred at about 4 am. The bus with 59 passengers and two drivers fell on its side at a curve in the road.
According to a representative of the State Fire Service in Gróbieszów, it was snowing and icy on this section of the road at the time of the accident. At the same time, rescuers said that weather conditions were unlikely to have caused the accident.
According to TVN24, there are 20 injured people who have been taken to hospitals. The remaining passengers are being sheltered in a school in Dolgobychuv until another bus is found for them. Emergency services are working at the scene of the accident.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko confirmed that 20 people were injured. The Ukrainians suffered injuries of varying severity. They were hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.
He also confirmed that an accident involving a bus of a Ukrainian company had occurred in the Lublin Voivodeship.
The rest of the passengers were sent to a temporary place of stay.
"The Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin is cooperating with Polish law enforcement officers to clarify all the circumstances of the accident," Nikolenko emphasized.
