Missile strikes becomes feature of Russian propaganda

However, this trick doesn't work when it comes to easing tensions in Russian society

I'm certainly not an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, but commenting on the ISW's explanation of why Russia is actively talking about missile strikes on Ukraine, I'll say this:

I don't see any particular change in the coverage of Russian missile strikes by the official propaganda of the aggressor country, including Konoshenkov, the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.

As before, they said that they were 'effectively' destroying our military facilities, military and civilian infrastructure, as they said that they had destroyed more HIMARS than there were any in existence, and they continue to do so.

Is this done to reduce the degree of tension in society? Let's first find out whether Russia has a society at all. And what kind of tension we are talking about.

If we talk about the tension over the apparent failure of the so-called 'special operation,' it will not go away.

But in reality, this tension is not so much in 'society' as in the Kremlin, where there is an internecine struggle between the 'elites' in the 'towers.' There, the question of who will rule after Putin seems to have become acute. Given how the communication corridors of opportunity are narrowing. Even a trip to South Africa for the BRICS summit is becoming dangerous for Putin, as he could be arrested under a warrant from the International Criminal Court.

Let's say that even more intensive coverage of missile strikes on Ukraine, as recorded by ISW, or new bravura fairy-tale reports from the Russian Defense Ministry, do not actually affect anything.

The vast majority of Russian citizens, unfortunately, continue to support aggressive actions against Ukraine. It seems to be genetically inherent in them.

The main motive of the Russian Federation has been and remains the occupation of Ukraine, the destruction of the Ukrainian nation, and the elimination of the Ukrainian state as such. And as long as the invading forces have such opportunities, they will try to do so.

Our task is to deprive them of such opportunities. Forever!
