Russia captures 3 settlements near Myrnohrad in Pokrovsk direction - DeepState
On Thursday, October 10, Russian troops occupied three settlements near the city of Myrnohrad in Donetsk region
This was reported by the OSINT portal DeepState.
According to the source, Russian troops seized Mykolaivka, Krasnyi Yar and Krutyi Yar, which are located near Myrnohrad (Pokrovsk direction).
"Mykolaivka is essentially the last settlement before Myrnohrad, so the big city will soon face pressure and attempts to break through to its southern outskirts. Currently, we see a trend where the Russians have entrenched themselves in strongpoints and other engineering and fortification structures. However, some of these are poorly prepared, and some are positioned in absolutely ridiculous locations. The main success in holding them back rests on the shoulders of our brave soldiers," the analysts write.
DeepState reports that, in addition to infantry, significant increases in artillery, aircraft, and mortar activity are expected in this area.
"It is possible that additional forces will be deployed here to consolidate and build on the success already achieved," the report states.
- Yehor Firsov, the chief sergeant of the UAV strike company, believes that the Russian army may resume active offensive actions towards Pokrovsk in late October.
