If Russia wins, there is high risk of World War III – Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian journalists on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

"I think it is much cheaper for the world to end the war with Ukraine's victory. I think it is much, much cheaper. Because there is a high risk – if they (Russians - ed.) defeat Ukraine - there is a high risk that it will be World War III," Zelenskyy said.

"Because NATO will not be able to retreat if they capture this or that territory. There will be a split. A split always leads to certain wars," the president of Ukraine added.

In this case, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized, further war with Russia will cost Europe "very dearly."

"Everything that is happening now has a different price. It is very expensive for us. And it can be very expensive for the whole world," Zelenskyy summarized.
