Four Ukrainian children returned from occupied territories, including child of Ukrainian military
Four more children have been returned from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The parents of one of the children serve in the Armed Forces
This was announced by the founder of Save Ukraine charity Mykola Kuleba.
"We managed to return four more Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The parents of one child are Ukrainian servicemen," he wrote.
According to him, the rescue process was not easy, but the long and difficult journey is finally over. The children are now safe on the free territory of Ukraine.
"This is the 14th rescue mission of the Save Ukraine team to date, as a result of which we have managed to return 223 Ukrainian children from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories," Kuleba summed up.
What is known about the return of children from Russian-occupied territories
On September 14, Human Rights Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said that 386 young Ukrainians had been returned home since the establishment of a separate coordination headquarters for children. These are only those children who were deported to the territory of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the number of children returned from the occupation will be counted separately.
"We decided to divide these figures because it is one thing to return a child from the territory of the Russian Federation after deportation, and another thing is when we return children who were forcibly displaced within the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine," Lubinets said.
In November, Save Ukraine brought four children with their families from the occupied territories.
