Fire breaks out in Ukrainian refugees’ house
A tragic incident took place in Apolda, Germany, where a fire broke out in a house where refugees from Ukraine were living. A child died and several other people were injured
Georg Mayer, the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs in the federal state of Thuringia, reported this.
He emphasized that the child had died in the fire. Their family had sought refuge from the bombings in Ukraine. Mayer expressed his commitment to conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany, Oleksiy Makeiev, previously reported that there were victims as a result of the fire, but due to the ongoing investigation, he was unable to disclose specific details regarding the incident. He assured that Ukrainian consuls had been in constant communication with Ukrainian citizens residing in the region, providing regular updates and coordinating with German law enforcement agencies.
