Explosions in Moscow are Russian provocation: Kremlin prepares to strike at Ukrainian decision-making centers
The drone strike on the Kremlin could have been organized by the Russian special services themselves for a number of reasons
After all, Moscow intends to use this situation both for its propaganda and, possibly, for mirror strikes against Ukrainian decision-making centers.
Let me remind you that Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, recently made a rather strange statement that the Russian president is supposedly always in the Kremlin.
First of all, I would like to point out that Putin is one of the most closely guarded people in the world. Accordingly, such statements by the spokesperson that Putin allegedly spends the night in the Kremlin should raise questions. It should be noted that almost no one knows about Putin's travel schedule, his security regime, and even more so about his whereabouts, except for a limited number of people. This is the alphabet of the work of special services.
If the media repeatedly reports that Putin used bunkers that could withstand a direct nuclear strike as his permanent residence, the idea that he was being assassinated by a UAV is at least slightly ironic.
Secondly, it should be noted that Putin has minimized access to his physical body (as has been reported many times in the media), so only a few people (no more than 5-6) can get close to him.
So, again, Peskov's statement that Putin spends the night in the Kremlin raises an element of distrust in the source of the information. Plus, you remember that Putin allegedly uses an armored train (there are even special railroads, underground tunnels, etc. built for this purpose). That is, the Russian dictator pays a lot of attention to his own security. And this applies not only to his phobias, but also to the fact that he is a closely monitored object.
“Putin seems to be using an armored train (even special railroads, underground tunnels, etc. have been built for this purpose). That is, the Russian dictator pays a lot of attention to his own security. And this applies not only to his phobias, but also to the fact that he is a closely monitored object.”
I would add that the Russians' claims about the alleged attack by the Ukrainian side using two drones are unfounded, as UAVs are used with a limited amount of explosives, and therefore it is illogical to use drones to strike an object protected by air defense and electronic warfare systems, so this version is hardly credible.
However, I would like to draw attention to the reason for this version: the Ukrainian media reported that the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Defense Ministry allegedly tried to eliminate the Russian dictator with the help of a UAV equipped with as much as 17 kg of explosives. Yuriy Romanenko, political analyst and co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future think tank, said that he attributed the drone crash in the Moscow region to an attempt to eliminate the Russian dictator. He recalled that Putin was going to visit Rudnevo the other day.
“Last week, our intelligence officers received information about Putin's trip to the industrial park in Rudnevo. Accordingly, our people launched a 'kamikaze' drone, which flew over all Russian air defense systems and crashed near the industrial park. When the drone was reported in the morning, the Kremlin was in a frenzy. Peskov wrote about Putin's new schedule to work in the Kremlin. The Federal Protective Service began serious leak checks. Given how obsessed Putin is with his security, this story could have huge consequences for the Kremlin towers,” Bild quoted Romanenko, co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute for the Future think tank, as saying.
This story really had huge consequences for the Kremlin towers. In my opinion, the Russian special services could not help but use such information from a Ukrainian political scientist. Indeed, Peskov publishes information about the new work schedule of the Russian dictator. The emphasis is on the fact that Putin is constantly in the Kremlin. This creates the basis for the upcoming provocation, the justification of the 'Ukrainian trace' in this ridiculous performance. I should note that Romanenko's information was published on April 25.
“Peskov publishes information about the Russian dictator's new work schedule. The emphasis is on the fact that Putin is always in the Kremlin. This creates the basis for the upcoming provocation, the justification of the 'Ukrainian trace' in this ridiculous performance.”
It is noteworthy that Red Square has been closed since the end of April to prepare for the May 9 parade. However, the footage was taken from the Red Square. The video shows a drone flying right over the pavement and exploding in midair near the dome of the Senate Palace, Putin's official residence.
It is also worth paying attention to the fact that the Kremlin is one of the most secure facilities in Russia. In particular, there is a high concentration of electronic warfare systems that jam GPS signals. Theoretically, autopilot (inertial navigation) can be used on certain parts of the flight, but such a system reduces the accuracy of the hit. Instead, we observed the exact opposite picture at the moment of hitting the target.
It should not be forgotten that in January, Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft systems designed to combat drones were installed on the roofs of buildings around the city center.
Thus, what happened in the Kremlin is an imitation of a strike that Russia will use as a kind of casus belli. That is, a pretext for a 'mirror response' on Ukrainian territory. And we are talking about the possibility of striking at the so-called decision-making centers.
“Thus, what happened in the Kremlin is an imitation of a strike that Russia will use as a kind of casus belli. That is, a pretext for a 'mirror response' on Ukrainian territory.”
It is no coincidence that the very element of this PSYOP of the Russian special services is taking place amid a possible Ukrainian counteroffensive.
Peskov has already stated that Moscow is considering a variety of options for responding to the Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin. “We can only talk about well-thought-out steps that meet the country's interests,” he said.
He also added that the United States was allegedly behind the so-called “Ukraine's attack on the Kremlin.” Peskov called Kyiv's claims of non-involvement in the strike on the Kremlin “absolutely ridiculous.”
In turn, Russian State Duma Speaker Volodin called the drone attack on the Kremlin a “terrorist attack” on Putin and an “attack on Russia,” while State Duma deputy from occupied Crimea Sheremet called for a missile strike on Volodymyr Zelenskyy's residence in Kyiv. And then there is more: the deputy secretary of the occupying country's Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, called for the “physical removal” of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his entourage.
“The point is being promoted that the Russian side reserves the right to mirror the response in decision-making centers. We have been hearing these scaremongering for a year, but there has been no real action on the part of the Russian Federation.”
In other words, the thesis is being promoted that the Russian side reserves the right to mirror the response in decision-making centers. We have been hearing these scaremongering for a year, but there have been no real actions on the part of the Russian Federation. That is, we can say that such a scenario could be used by Russia as an element of military and political pressure, primarily on the political leadership of Ukraine, in order to prevent a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The reaction of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Russian officials' allegations of a drone attack on the Kremlin is noteworthy. “I would take anything that comes out of the Kremlin with a great deal of caution,” the Secretary of State said.
As reported, two drones attempted to attack the Kremlin on the night of May 3. The Russian authorities blamed Ukraine for this.
“Last night, the Kyiv regime attempted to strike the Kremlin residence of the president with unmanned aerial vehicles. Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin,” the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
A video of a UAV hitting the roof of the Kremlin, followed by a fire, was posted online. It is noteworthy that Putin was not present during the attack - he was working at his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo.
Ukraine's presidential spokesman, Serhii Nykyforov, has already denied claims that Ukraine was involved in the drone attack on the Kremlin. He noted that Ukraine does not attack other states, only defends its territories. According to Nykyforov, what happened in Moscow is obviously an escalation of the situation before May 9. This is the expected response from the opponents.
