Everyone who caused war should be tried in The Hague
Zelenskyy's recent visit to the Netherlands and The Hague has raised the issue of bringing Russian war criminals to justice. Especially after the warrant was issued for the first of them. And in particular, the Russian president himself
But there is one problem that goes beyond the current mechanisms and jurisdiction. Not only the leaders of Russia and Russian criminal groups should be convicted, but also all those who created the war.
All of this was not invented by Putin personally. And all of this existed long before Putin.
The Ukrainian parliament declared "ruscism" (Russian fascism - ed.) the state ideology of Russia, which, of course, caused a lot of complaints in Russia. Including among "Russian liberals." The latter say that there is no official ideology in Russia, and everything the Russian leadership does is purely to fulfil the whims of Putin personally.

But personally, I accept and support the logic of recognizing and condemning "ruscism."
Indeed, not only people, but also criminal organizations (from the Russian Guard to the Russian army itself), as well as the ideology that justified and sanctified the aggression against Ukraine, should be condemned as a result of the war.
And this ideology did not emerge yesterday or the day before. The ideology of Russian exclusivity and superiority. The ideology of imperial expansion. The ideology of death and murder as something "sacred". The ideology of absorbing other nations, etc. All of this must be identified and condemned, and we need to talk about it now.

Putin was able to assert his absolute power solely on the basis of the deep imperialist attitudes of society. He simply released all this hatred, anger, and aggression, allowing the carriers of this total hatred to be themselves. He allowed and supported the approval of the cannibalistic regimes of Russia's past, and all this is a fact. After all, Putin did not invent some of the "Russian philosophers" he regularly quotes, because these "philosophers" lived centuries before him.
All of this is a separate topic that should move in parallel with the condemnation of specific criminals, but it is simply impossible to ignore the fact that it was not one person who created everything, but the man-hating ideology that prevails in Russia. And the West must also recognize this.
