Crimea's Chersonesus is not destroyed, but damaged
The Russian-occupied museum with the famous ancient Greek columns depicted on the hryvnia banknote exists
I read a lot of reports that the Russians seem to have completely destroyed the Chersonesus Museum in Sevastopol with new construction. But fortunately, this is not the case.
This new gigantic construction is being built next to the old museum and will be called "New Chersonesus". This is probably the reason for the confusion.
Of course, the Russians did a lot of damage to the Ukrainian museum during the new construction. I heard that the communications damaged the graves that have just been found. The construction itself is illegal because the Ukrainian authorities have not given any permits for it.
However, the Russian-occupied museum with the famous ancient Greek columns that were depicted on the hryvnia still exists. So it's about damaging the construction nearby, but not about complete destruction.
