By suspending START nuclear pact, Putin proved that he is in dead end – MP Nalyvaichenko
Ukrainian lawmaker Valentyn Nalyvaichenko believes that by announcing the suspension of Russia's participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, Putin has proved that he is losing the war with Ukraine
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"Yesterday Putin decided to rattle his nuclear weapons once again. He announced the suspension of Russia's participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. However, this does not change anything. From the very beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has been threatening with nuclear weapons," explained Nalyvaichenko.
The MP noted that Putin's regime is on the verge of collapse
"Such desperate statements by Putin about the termination of Russia's participation in the START pact prove that Russia is losing the war with Ukraine. With this statement, Putin proved that he is in a dead end. Amid the news about the US President Joe Biden's visit to Kyiv, Putin's statements are simply insignificant. Putin's regime is facing collapse. No one wants to deal with them anymore," he added.

On February 21, Putin threatened to "expand the war" if the West provided Ukraine with long-range weapons. In addition, the Russian leader said that Russia was suspending its participation in the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. Vladimir Putin also ordered the Russian military to prepare for nuclear weapons tests.
