Bodies of Russian soldiers dumped in trenches around Bakhmut
The Russian army is focusing its efforts on the offensive on Bakhmut, Donetsk region, with significant losses of Russian troops reported: in some places their bodies are being dumped into trenches
Sky News reported the information.
The Sky News reporters cite Taras Dzioba, a press officer of the Ukrainian 80th Air Assault Brigade.
"They are sending a lot of troops (to Bakhmut - ed.). I don't think that is sustainable for them...There are places where their bodies are just piled up. There is a trench where... they just don't evacuate their wounded or killed," he said.
Russian troops reportedly applied the "human wave" tactic around Bakhmut, a type of offensive that involves sending as many soldiers as possible without protection to overwhelm the enemy with a huge amount of manpower.
As a result, evidence points to a very high number of Russian casualties.
