The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, wrote about this on Telegram.
The official noted that on January 3, about at 10 pm, the Russian anti-aircraft system was operating 7 km from the settlement of Sultan-Saly in the Rostov region.
“At an altitude of 2.5 km, a small ball-shaped object was discovered flying with the wind. A decision was made to eliminate it,” he wrote.
Vasily Golubev also urged local residents to remain calm.
