Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha says that the invading Russian forces are increasingly shelling their own settlements in the Kursk region

"In the Kursk region, Russians are increasingly shelling their own settlements. Artillery and air strikes without any mercy for civilians. Typical Russian scorched-earth tactics, which they now use on their own villages and towns. Russia disregards human life — at home and abroad," Sybiha said.
He emphasized that Russia disregards human life both abroad and at home.
In August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Kursk operation had prevented Russians from occupying the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
